Food and Drinks

n my opinion, a combination Mexican restaurant and kayaking club is a heavenly melding of two of the world’s most perfect things. So, if you’re looking to impress a new love interest or someone you’ve been living with for years, Seattle’s Agua Verde Cafe and Paddle Club is the place to go. My ex-girlfriend and I used to visit Agua Verde frequently; we’d rent a kayak together, paddle onto Lake Union, and check out Gasworks Park from the water. We’d continue on past the houseboat from Sleepless in Seattle, enjoying the spectacular views of the Space Needle and downtown. Then, when we were done, we’d gorge on the restaurant’s excellent Mexican food (I love the Mangodilla). On a sunny Seattle summer day, there’s nowhere I’d rather be and nothing I’d rather eat. WB
